On October 10, 2013, the Plum Blossom Mountain Stone Carvings in Xuzhuang were designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Xuzhuang Town: Located in the northern part of Zaozhuang City and on the eastern side of Shanting District, Xuzhuang Town borders Pingyi and Feixian counties. It is part of the Yimeng Mountain area, covering a total area of 179.9 square kilometers. It is the largest township in Zaozhuang City in terms of jurisdictional area, with mountainous land accounting for 70% and forest coverage reaching 45%. The town currently has 42 administrative villages and 233 natural villages, with a total population of 52,300.
