Former Site of Standard Oil Company Building

The former site of the Standard Oil Company Building is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.

The former site of the Standard Oil Company Building is located at No. 77 Binjiang Road, Xunyang District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It was designated as a Jiujiang Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 1986, listed as a Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 1987 under the name "Former Site of Jiujiang Standard Oil Company," and recognized as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level in 2006. There are four individual structures within the former site and its related buildings: the former site of the Standard Oil Company Building, the former site of the Standard Oil Storage Depot, the former site of the Standard Oil Office Building, and the former site of the Standard Oil Villa. The integrity of their functions and the high degree of preservation are rare among similar buildings in China. These structures reflect the classical revival trend in Western architecture from the late 19th to early 20th century and possess significant historical and artistic value.
