Huiyuan Bridge

Huiyuan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Huiyuan Bridge is located in Guihu Village, Longtoushan Township, Dexing City. It was funded and built in the 23rd year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty (1595 AD) by a local resident surnamed Wang. Spanning the Chenyuan River, the bridge has a total length of 30 meters, a width of 9.4 meters, and a height of 14.2 meters. It is the largest single-arch bridge in Dexing in terms of span (with a single arch span of 22 meters), the tallest in structure, and the oldest single-arch stone bridge. The entire bridge body and deck are constructed from dry-laid bluestone, and the sides of the deck are also fitted with bluestone slabs as railings. The graceful curvature of the bridge’s arch showcases the exquisite craftsmanship and superior skill of the bridge builders at the time, giving the structure significant historical, cultural, and scientific research value.
