The ancient well in Shangcun, Gangxi is located in Gangxi Village, Huangbai Township, dating back to the Song Dynasty, and is categorized as an ancient well.

Huangbai Township: Located in the southwestern part of Dexing City, Huangbai Township is 38 kilometers from downtown Dexing. It borders Zhangcun Township to the east, Wancun Township to the south, borders Yiyang County to the west, and adjoins Leping City to the north. It serves as an important hub for economic and trade activities among Dexing City, Yiyang County, and Leping City.

Covering a total area of 147.25 square kilometers, the township administers 11 village committees including Huangbai and Shanghe, one neighborhood committee, one agricultural science institute, 59 natural villages, and 71 villager groups, with a population of 32,126, including 30,840 agricultural residents.
