Yao Li Town: Yao Li is located at the junction of Anhui and Jiangxi provinces, spanning four counties (Qimen and Xiuning in Anhui, and Wuyuan and Fuliang in Jiangxi), and is 59 kilometers from downtown Jingdezhen.

Yao Li, formerly known as Yao Li (meaning “Kiln Village”), was originally part of Xinzheng District, Jinxiu Township, Fuliang County. As early as the mid-Tang Dynasty, there were handicraft workshops producing ceramics here, and it got its name from the famous kilns. In the early 20th century, Yao Li was renamed three times before settling on its current name. On August 24, 1994, it was upgraded from a township to a town, and on April 2, 2001, it was designated as a provincial-level nature reserve.
