Site of the Youju Conference

The Site of the Youju Conference is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Youju Village, abbreviated as Youju and also known as Youju, is located in the northwest of Qiping Town, Tonggu County, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. It borders Nanqiao Township, Pingjiang County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province to the west, and Donggang Township, Xiushui County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province to the north.

Following the Pingjiang Uprising on July 22, 1928, Peng Dehuai, Teng Daiyuan, and others convened a joint conference in Youju Township, Tonggu County, on September 17 of that year to establish the Border Special Committee of the Hunan-Hubei-Jiangxi Revolutionary Base Area—known as the Youju Conference. The site of the conference has been well preserved to this day and now serves as a local temple that blesses the community. The selection of Youju as the meeting place was closely related to its remote location and surrounding rugged mountains.
