Christmas Carnival Kicks Off – Macau Festival Market Offers Singing, Dancing & Shopping

As the Christmas windmills start spinning, the magic of Christmas around the world begins to unfold. Hotels in Macau have also started decorating for the holidays, offering everything from fairy-tale music, candy windmills, and colorful Christmas markets, to a variety of festive foods and gifts. Travelers planning a trip to soak up the Christmas atmosphere may want to take note.

From now until December 26, the Sky Plaza at MGM Macau will grandly kick off the Christmas Carnival extravaganza. Soldiers, magicians, fairies, and the Mouse King will sing and dance together at the Sky Plaza, while the brass band plays powerful tunes in an exciting “Christmas Legend Song and Dance Parade.” An a cappella choir presents unique vocal performances, and four behavior artists dressed in different Christmas outfits form the “Christmas Family,” interacting with and taking photos with visitors on the Sky Plaza.

The Christmas market at Sky Plaza is filled with European charm: the “Christmas Bakery” located in the Sky Cafe fills the plaza with the aroma of freshly baked cookies and gingerbread; the “Gingerbread House” showcases uniquely hand-painted gingerbread with endless creativity; the “Nut House” offers freshly baked chestnuts and caramelized almonds on-site, with irresistible sweet flavors; the “Traditional Waffle & Crisp Counter” allows free combinations of classic Belgian waffles and French crisps with nearly thirty toppings, offering limitless taste experiences; the “Handmade Candy Cart” is loaded with festive candies in Danish and various European styles; the “Nutcracker Cart” is packed with nutcracker soldiers in different shapes and sizes, sure to capture hearts.

Various restaurants at MGM Macau present a wide selection of Christmas delicacies and festive dishes, offering a rich culinary experience for the warm holiday season. The French restaurant Le Petit Chef will offer an elegant four-course Christmas dinner on December 24 and 25, featuring dishes such as “Duck Foie Gras Terrine Stuffed French Chicken Breast with Black Truffle,” “Creamy Pumpkin Soup with Boston Lobster and Spanish Cured Ham,” “Pan-Seared French Brittany Turbot with Mushroom Red Wine Risotto,” along with traditional French Christmas desserts, at MOP 988 per person.

There is also a sumptuous “Christmas Seafood Platter” available. The Grand Ballroom will host festive buffet breakfasts, lunches, and dinners from December 14 to 30, featuring seasonal seafood and a variety of traditional Christmas dishes, priced at MOP 258 to 668 per person. MGM Café offers a selection of Christmas pastries, cookies, and chocolates throughout December. Additionally, there are two Christmas gift baskets (priced at MOP 1688 and 2688), perfect for holiday preparations and gifting to family and friends.
