Willow Lake Scenic Area

Willow Lake Scenic Area (YLHJQ) The Willow Lake Scenic Area is located at the junction of the old and new urban areas of Fengcheng. It has a planned total area of approximately 116,800 square meters, including a 15,000-square-meter square, a 60,000-square-meter landscape and cultural corridor, a 25,000-square-meter section of the Ganjiang River embankment scenic area, and a 16,800-square-meter land area recovered from demolished buildings. The estimated total investment is about 35 million yuan (excluding the flood control wall project). The scenic area is designed with a high starting point, refined planning, high-standard construction, and quality workmanship. Its landscape design and layout are flexible and compact, rich in content, and well-defined in spatial layers. It fully embodies the theme that “water is the spirit of the garden, greenery is its soul, history is its character, and people are its foundation,” making it a beautiful urban landmark in the city. Major attractions include: landscaped greenery in the scenic square, garden landscapes, stone-carved dragon pillars, cultural and art walls, an observation skywalk, lighting and sound systems, slope greening along the Gandong Embankment, a replica of the Great Wall, an observation deck, an iron ox sculpture, the entrance landscape area (featuring the “Source of Life” landscape and signage), the leisure plaza area (including a clock tower square, a magnolia platform, a sparse woodland platform, scenic walls, a health trail, a cherry blossom grove, a dry fountain platform, a cascading stone revetment, life-themed sculptures, rest corridors, and timber-like pile revetments), the waterfront living area (comprising a dock and the Feihong Embankment), the children’s activity area (with a maze, combo play equipment, and climbing wooden piles), and the elderly activity area (including a wooded plaza, fitness equipment space, a chess corridor, a fishing pavilion, and shaded pathways).
