Luoshan Mountain

Luoshan Mountain is situated in Luoshi Town in the southern part of Fengcheng, with an elevation of 962.5 meters and a total area of about 88 square kilometers. It was originally called Chishan (Pool Mountain) because there was a pool at the top. The mountain was later named Luoshan after the Jin Dynasty Taoist Luo Wencong, who lived in seclusion here for decades. The area boasts well-known scenic attractions such as the Triple-tiered Spring, Hundred-Zhang Waterfall, the Mirror-like Incense Burner Bowl with water that never dries up and can be used for drinking. Other sites include the Nine-Twist Stream, Immortal’s Kitchen, Thunder God’s Feast, Nine Lions Gathering, Thirteen Flying Dragons Mountain, and the Shrine of Lady Chen, the master’s wife of Xu Xun. It attracts a continuous stream of visitors.

Luoshi Town: Luoshi Town was formed in November 2001 through the administrative merger of the former Luoshan Township. It is located in the southern part of Fengcheng City, 22.5 kilometers from the city center and 83 kilometers from the provincial capital. The town covers a total area of 106.5 square kilometers, with 1,909.37 hectares of arable land, including 1,795.88 hectares of paddy fields. The total population is 31,136, of which 29,676 are agricultural residents. It currently governs 13 administrative villages, 2 neighborhood committees, and 153 natural villages.
