Ancient Street of Liutown

The Ancient Street of Liutown is a cultural heritage protection unit of Xiangdong District.

The Ancient Street of Liutown is located at the Liutown Street Neighborhood Committee in Xiangdong Town, dating back to the Qing Dynasty, and is classified as an ancient historical site.

On March 29, 2012, it was designated as part of the second batch of district-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Xiangdong District.

Protected area: 20 meters at the easternmost end of the ancient street, 30 meters at the southernmost end, 20 meters at the westernmost end, and 30 meters at the northernmost end.

Construction control zone: 20 meters at the easternmost end, 30 meters to the south, 30 meters to the west, and 40 meters to the north.

Xiangdong Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Xiangdong District, Pingxiang City, where the district government is located. Established as Xiangdong Town in 1949, it became Xiangdong Commune in 1958, and reverted to Xiangdong Town in 1961. The town government is located on Old Xiangdong Street, 0.3 kilometers from the district government. It covers an area of 57 square kilometers with a population of 103,000. The Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway and National Highway 320 pass through the town, and the Ping River flows within its boundaries.
