Ziyao Mountain: Located in the eastern part of the county

in Yuánqián Town. The mountain features nine peaks and three altars—the Upper Altar on the first peak, the Middle Altar on the eighth peak, and the Lower Altar on the ninth peak. There are numerous historical sites and scenic spots on the mountain, including Chóngyuán Taoist Temple, Jīnwén Temple, Guānyīn Rock, and Dìngguāng Rock. In front of Dìngguāng Rock, there is a temple plaque inscribed with “Kuāngshān Shèngjìng,” along with other attractions such as Sònglóng Cave, Fishing Terrace, Jiāhè Peak, Liándān Well, Yīguànzǒng (Tomb of Apparels), Tōngxiān Bridge, Báilián Pond, and Gǔnquán Pond—over ten scenic spots in total. Throughout history,

many poets and scholars have visited this mountain. During the Qing Dynasty, Wáng Róng wrote “The Record of Ziyao Mountain.” Even today, monks and Taoists continue to practice here.

Yuánqián Town: Yuánqián Town is located in the eastern part of Tàihé County. It borders Fùtián in Qīngyuán District to the northeast, connects with Xiǎolóng and Zhōnglóng across mountains to the southeast, neighbors Guànxi to the south, and adjoins Wànhé to the northwest. Covering a total area of 108 square kilometers, the town has a population of 26,590, with 39,000 mu of arable land. It administers 17 village (residential) committees, 184 villager groups, and 83 natural villages. The main traditional industries include straw mat weaving, hemp rope making, handicrafts, medicinal liquor production, and beef cattle farming. Among these, beef cattle farming has repeatedly won the provincial “Golden Ox” award, with over 20,000 cattle slaughtered annually.
