Taihe Kejia Mansion

Taihe Kejia Mansion is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Taihe has long been known as a land of outstanding people and rich cultural heritage, a place that values learning and civility, with countless historical and cultural relics. Kejia Mansion (also known as Mingde Hall) is located in Meigang Village, Wanhe Town. It is an ancient ancestral hall with typical architectural features of the Ming and Qing dynasties, originally built in the fourth year of the Shaoding era of the Song Dynasty (1231 AD). The hall faces south and is oriented northward. Despite enduring over 760 years of wind and rain, it remains well-preserved. Its existence provides extremely valuable physical material for the study of the history, folklore, architectural styles, and carving art of the Ming and Qing periods. In July 2000, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
