Former Site of the Temporary Soviet Government of Taihe County

The Former Site of the Temporary Soviet Government of Taihe County is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

In February 1930, the Temporary Soviet Government of Taihe County was established, with its offices successively located in Gubei Market and Luojia Market on the eastern border of the county. The chairman was Guo Shaoxiang, and it was successively affiliated with the Western Jiangxi Soviet Government and the Southwestern Jiangxi Soviet Government. In July of the same year, the 20th Red Army captured Taihe County seat, and the County Soviet Congress was convened in the county seat to establish the Soviet Government of Taihe County, with chairmen successively being Liu Senlin and Luo Benchai, and vice-chairmen including Luo Benchai and Wan Zhengxiang. It was successively affiliated with the Southwestern Jiangxi Soviet Government and the Jiangxi Provincial Soviet Government. It governed several district soviets including District 1 (urban area), District 2 (Guping), District 3 (Shacun), District 4 (Guanchao), District 5 (Sandu), and District 6 (Mashi). In November 1931, the Soviet areas east of the Gan River in Taihe and Wan’an counties were merged to form Wan’tai County, and the County Soviet of Taihe was dissolved.
