The Handan Exhibition Hall Complex is located at No. 45 Zhonghua Street in Handan City, situated in the city center and facing the ancient Warring States site “Wuling Congtai” across the street. The site covers a total area of 18

000 square meters, with a building area of 8,000 square meters and a usable area of 6,000 square meters. The front square is spacious, with lush green pines and fragrant flowers all year round. The main building has two floors, stands 18 meters high, and houses 15 exhibition halls of various sizes. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

The predecessor of the hall was the “Handan Mao Zedong Thought Victorious Forever Exhibition Hall,” which was first built in July 1968 and opened to the public in December of the same year. By the end of 1971, it was renamed the “Handan Regional Exhibition Hall.” In July 1980, it was changed again to the “Hebei Province Handan Regional Museum.”

In May 1984, the hall was renamed the “Handan City Museum.” In October of that year, it held its first exhibition, the “Handan City Excavated Cultural Relics Exhibition,” and officially opened to the public. The museum serves as a “moral education base” for both Hebei Province and Handan City.
