Dongshan Cultural Park of Arts and Culture is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Located at the eastern entrance of Wu’an City, there lies a beautiful garden where shimmering lakes complement rolling hills, and pavilions and towers are scattered picturesquely — Dongshan Cultural Park. Covering a total area of over 500 acres, it is a high-end cultural park integrating cultural tourism, vacation leisure, dining, and entertainment.

I. Cultural Park Area:

A grand archway towering 15.6 meters tall and a 30-meter-long screen-style stele corridor highlight the cultural theme and founding philosophy of the entire park. The front of the archway features two couplets: “Behold the 800-li Taihang Mountains, standing firm against heaven and earth— To the west rises the lofty Zhongji Peak, to the east lies the recumbent Zijin, To the north rides the cloud-kissing Yunshan, to the south stands the Drum Peak. Coal fields, iron seas, lime and dark rock, All surrounded by forests and fruits, nine fields of grain and cotton. Every treasure of nature and splendor of creation emerges from the mountain’s embrace. Seven thousand years of history, a long and enduring legacy— Recall how Zhao advocated the Vertical Alliance, Sui promoted imperial learning, The Song chased through the Central Plains, and the Ming built an ancient city. Brilliant strategies, courage, literary integrity and incorruptible virtue, A galaxy of heroes and sages, models for all time. All the blessings of heaven and treasures of earth spring forth from these mountain valleys.” These couplets encapsulate the mountains, rivers, produce, and 7,000-year cultural history of Wu’an. The stele corridor is constructed from 70 bluestone slabs, each 2 meters high and 0.7 meters wide, engraved with the “Brief Chronicles of Wu’an History,” documenting major historical events that took place in Wu’an. The Square of the Three Lords of Wu’an is named after three renowned historical figures from the Warring States period — Su Qin, Li Mu, and Bai Qi — who were all titled Lord of Wu’an. Xiu Feng Mountain derives its name in memory of Yang Xiu Feng, former chairman of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region Government. At the central exhibition area of the park, there are cultural history exhibits, a revolutionary history display hall, and the Gathering House of Eminent Figures. The Wu’an Cultural History Museum is a building designed in the style of traditional Wu’an residential architecture. It houses exhibition rooms on ancient history, theatrical arts, legends, Taoist culture, Buddhist culture, and vintage photos of Wu’an, prominently showcasing the area’s profound humanistic history, outstanding art, traditional religious culture, and rich folk art. The Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall emphasizes the characteristics of Wu’an as an old revolutionary base area, displaying the revolutionary struggle history of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Central Bureau, the Military District, the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region Government, and revolutionary leaders such as [names omitted], Yang Xiu Feng, and others in Wu’an.

II. Geological Park Area:

Covering an area of 15 acres, this section displays 29 types of metallic and non-metallic mineral resources of Wu’an in the form of potted landscapes. Dongshan Cultural Park of Arts and Culture

III. Botanical Park Area:

The park is home to over 150 rare tree species from various parts of Wu’an, mainly including varnish trees, Chinese sumac, large-fruited elm (also called square tree), abelia, ghost willow, and paired-joint trees.

IV. Amusement Park Area:

Covering an area of 40 acres, it features nine large and medium-sized amusement facilities, primarily including rapids ride, bumper cars, octopus ride, and pirate ship.

V. Folk Culture Area:

Covering an area of 12 acres, it includes a traditional opera stage, indoor performance hall, and outdoor dance floor, suitable for hosting various forms of cultural and recreational activities.

VI. Water Park Area:

Covering an area of 45 acres, it features waterside pavilions, a central lake island, pleasure boats, docks, and various water amusement facilities.

VII. Reception and Service Area:

With a total investment of 15 million yuan, it includes a garden-style three-star conference reception center, dining garden, tourism and cultural souvenir shops, as well as markets for flowers, birds, fish, and pets.
