Zhangzhuang Park

　Zhangzhuang Park: Established in the 1970s, it is a farmer-built park. The park consists of attractions such as Wangfu Mountain, an artificial lake, a zoo, an amusement park, and a bonsai garden. Wangfu Mountain is about 40 meters high, with lush trees and greenery covering its slopes. On the northern slope of the mountain, there is a straight stone staircase leading directly to the top, where an ornate double-decked pavilion with carved railings has been built. The pavilion is called Wangfu Pavilion. Climbing to the top of Wangfu Pavilion and looking out over the landscape is truly breathtaking — the green fields are divided into squares by flat, wide asphalt roads, and the 45 neat, straight protective forest belts along the roadside are lush and vibrant, resembling green picture frames adorning the picturesque fields. Canals crisscross the area, their waters clear as jade, with flocks of geese and ducks playing merrily. What a splendid rural scene.

To the west of Wangfu Mountain lies an artificial lake dug during the mountain’s construction. The shimmering lake water hosts dragon and phoenix boats. At sunset, the mountain’s reflection merges with the lake, creating a seamless blend of landscape and water — boarding a dragon and phoenix boat at this time feels like entering a fairyland, bringing peace and joy to the heart.

The zoo is home to many animals, including lemurs, black bears, monkeys, porcupines, camels, as well as pheasants, swans, peacocks, and golden pheasants, among others — a diverse array of rare birds and beasts. The amusement park features various rides, such as electric trains and elevators, making it an ideal spot for leisure.

The bonsai garden houses more than 300 exquisitely shaped rare bonsai and root carvings. Being in this space makes you realize just how marvelous nature’s craftsmanship truly is.
