Qingfeng Cave

Dai Pingyan Qingfeng Cave is located on Dai Pingyan in KuiDou Town and is a scenic attraction where peculiar rocks and caves blend seamlessly with unique temples. The Taipingyan Temple within the scenic area was first built in the second year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty. Its grand and solemn main hall enshrines the Deity Qingshui Zushi. Qingfeng Cave served as a spiritual practice site for the renowned Anxi Confucian scholars and brothers Li Bo and Li Xi, and it enshrines Xingchun Immortal, who is said to have been a miraculous healer. A distinctive feature of Qingfeng Cave is that, unlike other places where divination poems consist of five characters, those here are seven characters and are categorized by specialties such as pediatrics, gynecology, internal medicine, and surgery—making it especially convenient for those seeking herbal remedies. The site is surrounded by lush pines and bamboos, forming a rare landscape where culture and nature intertwine. It is also a sacred place where Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism have converged throughout history.

The cave is built along the mountainside and combines folk-style corridor architecture into a unique structure. In addition, the Qingfeng Cave scenic area features over ten kinds of extraordinary natural landscapes, including canyon caves, immortal caves, foot-bucket rocks, stone drums, and stone bells. Exploring this area leaves visitors in awe and reluctant to leave.
