Introduction: Includes the Jusi Building and Yingbao Building. The Jusi Building, built from rammed earth, was first constructed in the late Ming Dynasty and maintains architectural styles from the mid-Qing Dynasty. It faces south, covering an area of 9,048 square meters. The outer walls are constructed from massive river pebbles, while the interior is a three-story, circular building consisting of the main structure, "tiger fangs," a pond pavilion (Dan Pond), and centipede-whisker wing walls. It has an overall height of 10.2 meters, is 31.4 meters long, 31.2 meters wide, and has foundation walls 2.2 meters thick. The Yingbao Building, also made of rammed earth, has foundation walls 2.3 meters thick. It has two stories and a total of 72 rooms. There is a pavilion in the courtyard, and the main gate is a stone arch inscribed with “Yingbao Building, Established on an Auspicious Day in the Autumn of the Gengxu Year of the Yongzheng Reign.” In front of the main gate lies a half-acre square pond, with two pairs of flagpole stands erected on either side.

In 2009, Xiping Tulou was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Chishi Village: In ancient times, Chishi was called Bishi. The top layer of soil above the farmland was arable, but beneath it lay hidden stones. These stones were grass-green in color, extremely tough, and suitable for building walls, house foundations, and other construction purposes, making them highly versatile—hence the name Bishi. Later generations changed the character “Bi” (碧) to “Chi” (赤), and thus the name became Chishi, though it is also still known as Bishi.

Chishi Village is located in the mountainous southwestern part of Xiping Town, at an altitude of over 650 meters, and is 16 kilometers away from the Xiping town center. It borders Chishui Village to the east, Yangjiaojian to the south, Liushan Village to the west, and Dabaoshan to the north.
