Wuhua Mountain

Wuhua Mountain, also known as Little Huashan, is located in Houbaipo Village, Huoshui Township, 52 kilometers northwest of Wu'an City, Handan, Hebei Province. It borders the renowned Motian Ridge to the north and neighbors the Arhat Cave in Qibu Valley to the south.

Traveling about 5 kilometers westward from Jingniang Lake will bring you to Wuhua Mountain. The area boasts picturesque scenery with clear waters, lush forests, blooming mountain flowers, and whispering pines. Upon entering the mountain gate, the first sight to greet you is a waterfall over 100 meters high cascading down sheer cliffs into the Sun-Moon Lake. Cross the Immortal Wanderer Bridge, walk around the Sun-Moon Lake, and follow the rugged stone steps up the mountain to reach the mountaintop park, where a vast and breathtaking panorama unfolds before your eyes. The mountaintop is covered by a pine forest stretching over 10 kilometers, creating an endless sea of green and the soothing symphony of wind in the pines. The mountain is dotted with attractions such as the Mountain God Temple, Jade Emperor Summit, Heavenly King Hall, pavilions, and a highland lodge, all nestled harmoniously among the trees, making it a truly enchanting destination.

Wuhua Mountain enjoys an outstanding ecological environment and serves as an ideal habitat for migratory birds. The mountain is home to nearly a hundred species of rare birds and animals, along with a variety of mushrooms, wild fruits, prickly ash, and medicinal herbs scattered throughout the forest. In spring, flowers bloom in vibrant competition; in summer, the grass thrives and birds sing; in late autumn, red leaves paint the landscape; and in winter, silver trees stand against snowy peaks. The scenery changes with each season, offering endless beauty.

By Bus: Take bus 808 from West Railway Station in Handan to Wu'an Bus Station, then transfer to the bus heading to Changshou Village. Get off at Baipo Village en route.

By Car: Wuhua Mountain lies along the route from Jingniang Lake to Changshou Village. Starting from Handan City, take National Highway 309 northwest toward Wu'an City and then to Shamai. Continue along the Pingshe Highway northwest to Koukou, then head further northwest to Houbaipo Village to arrive at the mountain.
