Anxi Tulou

The Anxi Tulou are listed as Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.

The Anxi Tulou include the Yingbao Building, Jusi Building, and Nan'yan Meiji Taishan Building. They are distinctly different from the tulou of western Fujian, showcasing a strong architectural style of southern Fujian. Within these tulou, there are multiple historical tea production sites, and many descendants of the original builders have migrated to Taiwan. These structures are not only valuable physical evidence for studying Fujian-Taiwan relations but also serve as a testament to the history of tea in Anxi.

On October 7, 2019, the Anxi Tulou were included in the eighth batch of Major Historical and Cultural Sites Protected at the National Level.
