Cishan Museum

A cultural and arts institution in Wu'an City. To enhance the protection of the Cishan cultural heritage site, construction of the Cishan Culture Museum began in 1994. The museum covers an area of one hectare, with the exhibition hall being 44 meters long from north to south and 13 meters wide from east to west. It is divided into two main sections—north and south. The southern hall mainly displays stone grinding plates, stone grinding rods, whetstones, production and daily-use tools, pottery counting balls, pottery, stone balls, divination grass tools, etc.; the northern hall mainly features bone tools, animal and plant remains, small leaf bones, walnuts, pig and dog skeletons, as well as small pottery items, hearth plates, and ancestral-shaped artifacts. The exhibition hall also utilizes modern audiovisual and lighting technologies to recreate simulated scenes of life in the Neolithic Age, presenting the living conditions of humans 7,500 years ago.
