The Former Site of the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Military Region is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Site of the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Military Region is located in Yetao Town, Wu'an City, Hebei Province. In the second half of 1946, after the Kuomintang tore up the ceasefire agreement and occupied Zhangjiakou, it launched a full-scale civil war and threatened to take Handan and destroy the border region. To relieve the main forces of the border region from the heavy burden of defending Handan, the border region’s central leadership quickly returned from the suburbs of Handan to Wu'an and set up camp in Yetao Town.

From 1946 to 1948, the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Military Region were stationed here. Veteran revolutionaries such as Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, Li Da, Bo Yibo, Dong Biwu, and Xu Xiangqian fought and lived here. Notable events held on this site include the famous “North China Financial Conference,” the “Southern Expedition Conference on Advancing into the Dabie Mountains,” the “Land Conference,” and the “Party and Government Rectification Conference.” Various units under the Central Committee and the Military Region were stationed in Yetao and nearby villages, while the government of the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region was based in Sanwang Village.

From October 1946 to the spring of 1948, the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Central Military Committee and the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Military Region were stationed in Yetao for one year and seven months. In the spring of 1948, the border region government moved to Xibaipo in Pingshan County. At that time, Yetao Village became the secret capital of the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Border Region, serving as the political, military, economic, and cultural center, and the sole rear command post for the liberation of all of China. On May 25, 2006, it was designated as part of the sixth group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units by the State Council.
