Niwaobao Site

The Niwaobao Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hebei Province.

Niwaobao Site

The Niwaobao Site is located in Niwaobao Village, Wu'an City. The site stretches approximately 180 meters from east to west and about 100 meters from north to south, with a cultural layer 1–2 meters thick. On the exposed cliff face, remains such as ash pits can be seen. In 1977, trial excavations were conducted, uncovering storage pits, ash pits, and artifacts including pottery basins, jars, lids, and ring-foot vessels. Stone tools such as axes, stone balls, and grinding rods were also found. The cultural content is the same as that of the Cishan Site in Wu'an, and it is believed to belong to the Cishan Culture.
