The Dong Wannian Site is a cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

Dong Wannian Site

The Dong Wannian Site is located to the south of Dong Wannian Village in Wu'an City. The site contains remains from the Neolithic Age, the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the Warring States Period. It lies on the gentle slopes of the southern alluvial fan, covering an area of 100,000 square meters, with a cultural layer 0.5–2 meters thick. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

Discovered and test-excavated in 1979, the cultural layer is divided into three strata, with artifacts mainly unearthed from the third layer. The pottery is predominantly sandy gray ware, with some sandy red ware, and features decorations such as basketry patterns, appliqué bands, and checkered designs. Vessel types include high-necked jars and bowls. Based on the artifacts, the Neolithic cultural content of the Dong Wannian Site is identified as the Dasikong culture.
