The Hejin Cross Pavilion is located on South Street in Hejin Village, Wu'an City. It is a single-structure building composed of two parts: upper and lower. The lower level is a cross-shaped brick-and-stone platform with passageways running both north-south and east-west; the upper level has a square floor plan, a double-eaved roof covered with glazed tiles in a simple hip-and-gable style, and is constructed with a brick-and-wood structure. It spans three bays in width and depth, is 8098 meters long from east to west, 8.92 meters wide from north to south, and has a total height of 11.7 meters, covering a floor area of 80 square meters. The pavilion was originally built during the Ming Dynasty, and the existing structure still retains the architectural style of that period, with renovations carried out during the Qing Dynasty. It is now a key cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

Hejin South Street is a relatively well-preserved traditional commercial district, and the pavilion is situated right at the center of the street, giving it a prominent location. The building itself features a rigorous structure and distinct local characteristics. Its architectural style is quite rare in southern Hebei and holds certain value for both appreciation and research.

Hejin Town: Located 20 kilometers west of Wu'an City, it covers a total area of 120 square kilometers. The town governs 32 administrative villages, has a population of 26,000, and includes 1,279 hectares of arable land and over 10,000 hectares of mountainous land. In 2003, the per capita income was 1,922 yuan, classifying it as a poor mountainous region. Originally named Jicheng, Hejin Town was renamed in honor of Comrade Hejin, the district head who sacrificed his life during the Anti-Japanese War while resisting a Japanese sweep.
