The Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination.

The Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region Revolutionary Memorial Hall is located in Yetao Town, Wu'an City. The memorial covers an area of over 10 acres, with a total investment of more than 30 million yuan and an exhibition area of nearly 2,000 square meters. The exhibition content is mainly divided into three parts: the founding of the border region, its consolidation and development, and its glorious legacy. Among the more than 1,000 exhibits on display, in addition to the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" edited and published in Zhaozhuang Village, Wu'an in 1948 and the first issue of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan edition of the People's Daily, there are also many lesser-known but precious materials such as border region currency, stocks, stamps, marriage certificates, and land deeds.

The Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region was established in July 1941. At its peak, it covered an area of over 230,000 square kilometers with a population of about 36 million, making it the largest revolutionary base in China at the time. Its government offices were initially located in Danyin Village, Suobao Town, Shexian County, and included departments such as the Secretariat, Finance Department, Communications Department, Taxation Bureau, and High Court. From November 1945 to May 1948, the border region government was stationed twice in the areas of Wuji, Boyan, Longquan, and Yetao in Wu'an. Veteran revolutionaries such as Dong Biwu, Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, Xu Xiangqian, and Bo Yibo lived and fought here.

During the period when the border region government was based in Yetao, Wu'an, three landmark meetings in the history of our Party and army—the Land Conference, the North China Financial Conference, and the Southern Expedition Conference—were held here. Today, Yetao Town still preserves the well-maintained former site of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Central Bureau, as well as the former residences of veteran revolutionaries.

During the Liberation War, this was the headquarters of the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Border Region led by Liu Bocheng, Deng Xiaoping, and Bo Yibo, as well as the command center of the Liu-Deng Army. The Central Work Committee held the North China Financial Conference and the Land Conference here. It was also the starting point and command center for the Liu-Deng Army’s 1,250-kilometer march into the Dabie Mountains. Marshal Xu Xiangqian held a military district cadre education and training conference here before organizing the Second Field Army’s advance into southern Shanxi. To honor the pioneering spirit of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries and to ensure that the revolutionary spirit of the Liu-Deng Army remains forever in the hearts of the people, the people of Wu'an strongly advocated for the establishment of the Yetao Revolutionary History Memorial Hall. In 2004, during the nationwide celebration of the 100th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping’s birth, the Wu'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government restored the Yetao Revolutionary History Memorial Hall.
