Píngnán Chenghuang Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Location: Shuāngxī Village, Shuāngxī Town, Píngnán County

Introduction: Initially built in the 13th year of the Yongzheng reign during the Qing Dynasty (1735), it underwent renovations and expansions in subsequent years during the Qianlong, Jiaqing, and Daoguang reigns. The central axis structures include the ceremonial gate, stage, worship pavilion, main hall, and rear hall, covering a total area of 1,201.08 square meters. The stage and worship pavilion feature hip-and-gable roofs, supported by four pillars and topped with caisson ceilings and flat panel ceilings; the main hall has seven bays in width and seven columns in depth, using a mixed post-and-lintel and Dougong beam framework, with a flush gable roof.

Protected area: 20 meters to the southeast, 15 meters to the southwest, up to the village road to the northwest, and up to the village road to the northeast.

In 2009, Píngnán Chenghuang Temple was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.
