The Houlong Zhang Clan Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Located in the center of Houlong Village, Pingcheng Township, Pingnan County, its original construction date is unknown. It was rebuilt in the sixth year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1802) (as recorded on a stone stele) and renovated in the tenth year of the Tongzhi reign (1871). The hall faces south and is located to the north, with a total width of 9.7 meters and a depth of 18.2 meters, covering an area of 176.54 square meters. Along the central axis, it consists of, in sequence, a stage, a courtyard, and a main hall. The stage was rebuilt later, while five stone steps in the center of the courtyard lead to the main hall. On both sides are two-story wing rooms. The main hall features three bays spanning 7.49 meters, with the front two central columns removed. The depth is seven columns spanning 1.55 meters, with an altar shrine set up at the rear. The structure employs post-and-lintel and beam-raising timber framing, topped with a flush gable roof and horse-head walls. Slogans from the Cultural Revolution are painted on the walls of the main hall.

This ancestral hall serves as an important venue for villagers to conduct meetings and celebrate traditional festivals, and stands as a key physical representation of the village’s ancestral hall culture.

In 2018, it was designated as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites.
