Chakou Site

The Chakou Site is a cultural heritage protection unit in Handan City.

The Chakou Site is an early Shang Dynasty ancient site located south of Chakou Village in Paihuai Town, Wu’an City. It is among the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Handan City.

Chakou Village: Chakou Village is situated 1.5 kilometers south of the seat of the Paihuai Town government, at the foot of Wujianao, Qinglongzhai, and Fenghuang Mountain. It borders Niwabao Village of Cishan Town to the east, Macun Village of Majia Township to the south, Zebujiao Village to the west, and Paihuai Village to the north. Provincial Highway Ciyang runs east of the village, while the Qinglan Expressway lies to the south. The rural road from Paihuai to Xijiao passes through the village from the west.
