The Lingtai Mountain scenic area is surrounded by the Changtan River, with steep cliffs and lush bamboo and pine trees along both banks, offering pleasant scenery.

Lingtai Mountain resembles Guanyin sitting on a lotus, and it is home to Fuyuan Temple built in the late Yuan Dynasty, Cuifeng Temple from the Ming Dynasty, as well as Yuantong Temple and Zuifeng Temple. It is the largest temple complex in northwest Fujian. In the early morning, the mountain top offers a sea of clouds view. The temples on the mountain house various exhibits and also provide supporting services such as guesthouses and vegetarian restaurants.

Lingtai Mountain is home to Fuyuan Temple built in the late Yuan Dynasty, Cuifeng Temple established in the eighth year of the Ming Emperor Xianzong’s reign, as well as Yuantong Temple and Zuifeng Temple. It is the largest temple complex in northwest Fujian. The beautiful natural landscape and rich cultural heritage attract a continuous stream of pilgrims from home and abroad, as well as tourists and literati. Yuantong Temple is simple and elegant, featuring a motherly statue of Guanyin; a solemn and magnificent statue of the Three Jewels Buddha; a seventy-meter-long Dragon Palace… Each attraction captivates your attention. Exhibits in the temple include scriptures copied in the blood from the chest of the centenarian lay Buddhist Xu Shengjue, as well as the exquisite calligraphy “Pumen Pin” by the Hong Kong lay Buddhist Lam Hei Yin. The sea of clouds in the morning is the most spectacular sight—gazing at distant mountains, where sea and sky merge into one, with endless ocean tides. Occasionally protruding peaks resemble rocks in the sea, and the sea of clouds changes endlessly—sometimes like a heavenly maiden scattering flowers, sometimes like waves crashing on the shore, sometimes like thousands of piles of snow, and at other times presenting a Pure Land landscape, offering you a visual feast as if you were in a fairyland, reaching a state of selflessness. Cuifeng Temple houses a rare 200-year-old camellia, a two-ton stone divine turtle, and ancient legends that make you linger.

Shaping Village: Shaping Village is located in the northern part of Changxiao Town, about 38 kilometers from Qingliu County. It enjoys convenient transportation, with Provincial Highway 204 running through the entire village. The village has 6 villager groups, 141 households, and 606 people, including 20 Party members. It has 693 mu of arable land and 11,096 mu of forest land, and is a revolutionary old base area and a reservoir resettlement village.

Shaping Village, originally named Shaping, was established in the early years of the Kangxi era (1711), when people migrated from Changxiao to a location five li northeast of Changxiao, situated at the confluence of the Xiao River and Yulun waters.
