Tianfang Yuetan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Tianfang Yuetan is located in a valley within the Gaolai Hot Spring Fault Zone in Songkou Town, and is a resort primarily centered around hot springs. The area can generally be divided into three parts: the hot spring zone, a water park, and a resort hotel. It's a great choice for leisure and vacation—perfect for soaking in the winter and enjoying water activities in the summer.

After entering the hot spring area, you usually begin with a low-temperature pool, then gradually move on to medium and high-temperature pools. Among the many pools, some with distinctive features include the lavender pool with its floral fragrance, the “Beauty Pool” offering milk baths, and the traditional Chinese medicine pool. The fish pool (30 RMB) is quite interesting, as small fish nibble at your dead skin. The Five Elements Spring is located inside a cave, with the central earth spring being the largest and relatively hotter.

The water carnival features many thrilling rides, including a nearly 200-meter-long slide that ranks among the best in the province. Riders experience the thrill of speed, spins, and flips in just moments using the force of the water flow from the top of the slide—making it perfect for summer cooling. For those wishing to stay overnight, the scenic area offers affordable small hot spring inns as well as large hot spring hotels with Southeast Asian flair. Some rooms even have private hot springs, allowing guests to enjoy a soak without leaving their room.

Tianfang Yuetan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area is located in the Gaolai Hot Spring Fault Valley of Songkou Town, Qingliu County, Sanming City, Fujian Province. It complements the nearby Beidou Mountain (Qixingyan) Primitive Forest Park and is close to Yong'an to the south, Xiamen to the southeast, Fuzhou to the east, Nanchang to the north, and Ruijin and Ganzhou to the west. The Tianfang Yuetan Hot Spring Resort Hotel is situated within the Tianfang Yuetan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area. In western Fujian—the renowned homeland of the Hakka people—located south of the Wuyi Mountains and upstream of the Jiulong Stream, lies a radiant jewel of a hot spring resort that has earned high praise from travelers and acclaim from China’s geothermal mineral authorities and experts, who admire it as a “hot spring paradise.” This is the Tianfang Yuetan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area, the most refined large-scale hot spring tourist destination on the western shore of the Taiwan Strait.

Tianfang Yuetan Ecological Tourism Scenic Area spans both Songkou Town and Songxi Town in Qingliu County, covering an area of 22 square kilometers. It enjoys convenient transportation, being 310 km from Fuzhou, 300 km from Xiamen, 230 km from Quanzhou, 1.5 km from Provincial Highways 204 and 207, and only 0.5 km from the Songkou exit of the Quannan Section of the Quanzhou–Nanping Expressway. The surrounding area boasts rich tourism resources, which can be summarized as “one lake (Jiulong Lake), one cave (Jiulong Cave), two springs (hot and cold springs), three mountains (Dafeng Mountain, Lingtai Mountain, Qixingyan), and four attractions (Mao Zedong’s Former Residence, Jingshu Garden, basalt formations, and Lai Fang Ancient Residential Area). Nestled among rolling mountains, it lies to the left of Lingtai Mountain and to the right of the Cretaceous Forest Park at Qixingyan and the former Site 05 Arsenal. Over dozens of square kilometers, the landscape features undulating hills, lush greenery, and pure, fresh air—with hundreds of thousands of negative ions per cubic meter. Gaolai Village: [Administrative Affiliation and Transportation Location] Gaolai Village is the second-largest administrative village in Songkou Town, Qingliu County, Sanming City. It is located in the eastern part of Qingliu County, downstream of the Songxi River on the eastern side of the Beiji Mountain Scenic Area. To the east, it borders Qiuzhai Village in the same town; to the west, it neighbors Gaokeng Village in the same town and Dajiaokou Village in Longjin Town; to the north, it connects to Yuanshan Village in Songxi Town, 3 km away; and to the south, it adjoins Songkou Village in Songkou Town. It is 8 km from the town government seat. The Yongning Section of the Quannan Expressway passes through the village and includes an interchange. From the interchange, it is over 60 km to Yong’an City and 15 km to the county seat of Qingliu.
