The Site of the Soviet Government of Songxi District is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of the Soviet Government of Songxi District is located at No. 71 Beibeixiang, Hongwei Road Station, Laojie Street, Songxi Village, Songxi Town, Qingliu County. Originally the ancestral hall of the Yu family in Songxi, it was called the Duwei Mansion.

In 1932, with the help and support of the Red Army and the work team of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the revolutionary struggle in Qingliu developed rapidly, and the construction of Soviet political power flourished. In June of the same year, the District Soviet Government of Songxi was established, with its government offices set up in the ancestral hall of the Yu family, known as the Duwei Mansion. Wang Zisheng (June 1932 – January 1933) and Zou Taihua (August 1933 – November 1934, martyr) successively served as chairmen of the District Soviet Government. The District Soviet Government had jurisdiction over the township Soviet governments of Songxi, Yufang, Yangfang, Qingxi, Qingkou, Wujiafang, Chenduan, Qiufang, Linshe, Maiyuandong, Zengfang, Xiashibei, Shixia, and Sunfang. It was one of the five most prominent District Soviet Governments during the peak period of Soviet political power development in Qingliu, and also the one with the largest jurisdictional area at the time. On November 24, 1934, due to the fierce attack by the 52nd Division of the Kuomintang, the Songxi District Soviet organization resisted with all its strength before the entire leadership withdrew to the urban area of Qingliu, leading to the dissolution of the District Soviet Government.

The original Site of the Soviet Government of Songxi District had three courtyards and four halls, with wing rooms on both sides, covering an area of more than 400 square meters. Due to repeated flooding and years of disrepair, the structure was severely damaged. It has since been demolished and rebuilt, with only the entrance gate remaining.

Songxi Town: Located in the northeast of Qingliu County, bordering Ninghua County to the north, Songxi Town is a secondary central town of Qingliu County and is known as the "Hometown of Tofu Skin." The town has a population of 18,000, covers an area of 187 square kilometers, and governs 12 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee. It has 240,000 mu of arable land. The provincial highway Lingwen Line and the under-construction extension line of the Beijing–Fuzhou Expressway through Sanning run through the town, providing convenient transportation. It is 110 kilometers from Sanming and 20 kilometers from the county seat. With well-developed communications and active commercial services, the town has long been an important commodity distribution hub and commercial trade center in northern Qingliu County.
