The Site of the Red Army Bridge in Lifang is a classic destination for red tourism.

The Site of the Red Army Bridge in Lifang is located at the entrance of Lifang Village, Litian Township, Qingliu County.

In September 1930, with the help of the Red Army, local farmers from Lifang and residents from five other nearby villages launched an armed uprising, subsequently establishing the first local Soviet government in Qingliu—the Lifang Township Soviet Government. Later on, the 14th Red Army, the Independent 7th Division of the Red Army, and other units frequently operated in the Lifang area. When the Red Army learned that the villagers of Lifang were often troubled by floods from the Lifang River near the village, all soldiers united to build a stone-pierred wooden bridge at the village entrance. The villagers named this bridge the “Red Army Bridge” in memory of the deep bond between the military and civilians.

The Lifang Red Army Bridge was rebuilt in the late 1970s. In the spring of 2004, it was reconstructed at the original site, and now it is a steel-concrete arched bridge with a width of 4.5 meters and a length of 162 meters, capable of supporting heavy vehicles.
