The former site of Red Army slogans at Lai Wuxing’s residence in Laiwu Village is a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of Red Army slogans at Lai Wuxing’s residence in Laiwu Village is located on the main hall of the house of Lai Wuxing, a villager at No. 48, Laiwu Village, Laifang Township, Qingliu County.

In July 1934, the 9th Red Army Corps, while escorting the 7th Red Army Corps northward to resist Japan, passed through Laifang and Shawu in Qingliu, forded the Jiulong Stream forcefully, and entered the Luofang area. Together with the 7th Red Army Corps, they executed a pincer encirclement against the enemy forces defending Yong’an, delivering a powerful shock. Between August and September of the same year, after completing their escort mission, the 9th Red Army Corps retraced their route back to Laifang. There, they propagated revolutionary ideas, mobilized the masses, and carried out the agrarian revolution struggle. The existing Red Army slogans preserved in Lai Wuxing’s residence were written during this period of mass work by the 9th Red Army Corps. There are three sections in total, with four (pieces) still clearly legible. Their contents are: “Workers and peasants, rise up to fight the local tyrants and distribute the land!” “Workers and peasants, rise up to establish the Soviet government of workers, peasants, and soldiers!” “Oppose the imperialist partition of China!”

Lai Wuxing’s residence is a single-story civilian house built during the Republican era. Its exterior walls are made of brick, while the interior is of wooden structure, covering an area of 160 square meters.
