The Thousand Buddha Niches are located in the northeast of Xinzhuang Village, Majiazhai Township, Wu'an City. The Thousand Buddha Niches are among the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Handan City.

Majiazhai Township: Majiazhai Township is located in the southwestern part of Wu'an City, deep within the Taihang Mountains. The township administers 28 administrative villages, with 5,734 households and a population of 20,056, covering a total area of 83.4 square kilometers and featuring 28,662 mu of arable land. It has 31 Party branches and 678 Party members. The township has a total of 25 primary schools and 2 secondary schools. It is less than 5 kilometers away from the Xingtai (Xingtai) – Dang (Dangshan) Highway and the Cishan (Cishan) – Yangyi (Yangyi) Highway, with the She (She County) – Cishan (Cishan) Highway running through the entire area.
