The inscriptions on Laoye Mountain are located east of Dongchangshe Village in Huoshui Township, Wu'an City. They are among the second batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Handan City.

Huoshui Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Wu'an City. Established in 1953, it was converted into a commune in 1958. When Wu'an County was changed to a mining district, it was placed under the administration of She County. In 1960, it returned to Wu'an Mining District and was re-established as a township in 1984. In 1996, it incorporated three townships: Miaoshang, Yangjuan, and Madiantou. It is situated in the mountainous area of the northwestern part of the city, covering an area of 224 square kilometers with a population of 22,000.
