The Daxianfeng•Tea Beauty Scenic Area is located at the foot of Daxianfeng (elevation 1,553 meters), the highest peak in Datian County on the western side of the Daiyun Mountain Range. It is 22 kilometers from the county town, with the highest point at 1,108 meters above sea level, and boasts nearly a thousand years of tea-growing history. The area has been awarded honorary titles such as “Hometown of China’s Highland Tea” and “China’s Most Beautiful Tea Township.” It is China’s first ecological scenic area themed around highland tea, integrating cultural experiences, environmental education, cultural creativity exhibitions, and leisure vacation functions.

Datian County is a national standardized production base for green tea, and “Datian Highland Tea” has become a national model demonstration of geographical indication agricultural products. “Ecology” has become its shining calling card. Thanks to its “high mountains, abundant mist, sweet water, and fragrant tea,” in 2010, Datian County was awarded the title of “Hometown of China’s Highland Tea” by the China Economic Forestry Association—the only such designation in China.

Pingshan Township: Located on the western side of the Daiyun Mountain Range in the southeastern part of Datian County, Pingshan Township is 22 kilometers from the county town, with an average elevation of 1,100 meters, making it the highest township in central and southern Fujian.
