Pingshan Misty Sea Tea Homestay Leisure Area

The Misty Sea Tea Homestay Leisure Area is located in Pingshan Township, the core tea-producing area of Datian County — known as the "Hometown of China's Highland Tea." It is 22 kilometers from the county seat, 13 kilometers from the Datian interchange of the Quanzhou–Sanming Expressway, and 8 kilometers from the Wushan interchange. Themed around tea culture leisure and experience tourism, it features leisure facilities such as tea plantation boardwalks, covered bridges, walking trails, pavilions, and timber leisure cabins, as well as a thousand-acre cherry blossom garden. Currently under construction are a tea tasting area, exhibition area, fishing area, customer service area, and recreational trail systems including greenways and slow lanes. The aim is to create an ecological leisure destination that integrates oxygen-rich fitness, wellness camping, tranquil lake fishing, farm-stay sightseeing, and hands-on experiences such as tea picking, tea processing, tea tasting, tea purchasing, enjoying tea songs, watching tea dances, and observing tea ceremonies. Visitors can take deep breaths amidst the fresh air and lush greenery of the tea plantations, and fully enjoy the slow life of the tea fields — "admiring cherry blossoms in spring, escaping the summer heat, savoring tea in autumn, and viewing snow in winter."
