Lan Yu Village

Lan Yu Village is located in the eastern part of Taoyuan Town, adjacent to the Taoyuan interchange of the Quanzhou–Sanming Expressway, with Provincial Highway 307 running through the entire area, making transportation very convenient. Lan Yu Village is a “triple-purity” place—clean soil, clean water, and clean air—with an excellent ecological environment. The forest coverage rate reaches 83.2%, and it features ancient pine trees over 1,200 years old, standing 50 meters tall and wide enough for four people to hug, as well as several hundred-year-old yew and osmanthus trees. Riverside areas are equipped with boardwalks, pavilions, a leisure park for farmers, a cultural square, and a bicycle greenway, earning it recognition as a provincial-level eco-village. The village also boasts rich local cultural resources, including historical sites such as Liusi Bridge, Lexi Bridge, Taiyuan Palace, Sanfeng Temple, and the Zheng Family Chastity Archway, as well as traditional folk culture like the Taiyuan Palace Temple Fair and the Hundred-Family Banquet.

In recent years, Lan Yu Village has established four specialized cooperatives for vegetables, tobacco, edible fungi, and flowers, as well as a national pollution-free vegetable standardized production base and a provincial urban non-staple food regulation base. It is actively developing into a beautiful rural area with “orderly management, comprehensive services, economic development, a pleasant environment, and a civilized, harmonious atmosphere,” showcasing a “pastoral scenery” style and promoting a distinctive local cultural tourism brand under the name of Lan Yu.
