Chitouban State-owned Forest Farm

Chitouban State-owned Forest Farm is located in Taoyuan Town, bordering Xiyang Town of Yong'an City. It features a mid-subtropical monsoon climate that is warm, humid, and abundant in rainfall and sunlight. With a forest coverage rate of 95%, the area has an extremely high concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air and an average annual temperature of 15.3–19.6°C.

As a provincial-level pilot base for understory economy, the farm engages in intercropping medicinal herbs such as yew, sarcandra, anoectochilus, and ophiopogon under the forest canopy. A preliminary development model combining understory planting, breeding, and tourism has been established. Eco-friendly leisure cabins, forest walking trails, and “forest homestays” have been built to attract weekend travelers seeking a "forest bath" experience.
