Minhu Rural Yacht Club Wellness Resort
The resort is located within the Minhu National Water Conservancy Scenic Area, spanning the cities of Sanming and Quanzhou. It is the province’s largest reservoir by water surface area (36.9 square kilometers), the second largest by storage capacity (1.8 billion cubic meters), and the third largest by power generation (300,000 kWh per year). Surrounded by mountains mostly covered in pristine forests, the area features undulating landscapes on both shores, scattered islands, and an excellent ecological environment. The under-construction “Meiyu” and “Xiasha” expressways, as well as the planned National Highway “Vertical Five” line, all pass through the resort, highlighting its growing transportation advantages. Currently, plans are underway to develop resort hotels, tourism real estate, a public helicopter base for the East China Civil Aviation Administration, a wild fishing base, and China’s largest inland rural yacht club. This project has been listed as a key project in Sanming City’s “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” for tourism development.
