Linpu Ancestral Hall

Linpu Ancestral Hall is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian.

Fujian Xiao Clan Grand Ancestral Hall — Linpu Ancestral Hall

Located in Guikeng Village, Shangjing Town, the main hall features five bays in width, a mixed post-and-lintel and through-tenon construction, and a hanging gable roof. It was first built in the third year of the Xining era of the Northern Song Dynasty (1070), boasting a history of over 1,000 years. The ancestors of the Xiao clan migrated to Nanjing in Zhangzhou before spreading to Taiwan. In March 2009, former Vice Chairman of the Kuomintang, Mr. Vincent Siew, inscribed the words “Xiao Clan Linpu Grand Ancestral Hall” for the site. It is a provincial-level cultural heritage site related to Taiwan.
