Xianting Mountain Forest Park

Xianting Mountain Forest Park is located in the western part of the city, covering a total area of 3,000 acres. Nestled against mountains and beside water, it boasts ancient towering trees and picturesque scenery. “A mountain need not be high — with an immortal, it becomes famous.” The park gets its name from the “Xianting Temple.” Legend has it that Emperor Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty bestowed a couplet: “Seated upon the land of the rhinoceros through the ages, facing the heavenly steed’s eternal mountain.”

The park takes full advantage of its beautiful natural environment and rich cultural landscapes, consisting of seven scenic areas: the Temple Scenic Area, Eco-Health Forest Area, Sports & Fitness Area, Sightseeing Orchard Area, Entertainment & Leisure Area, Plant Viewing Area, and Youth Science Education Activity Area. The park’s walking trails follow the contours of the mountain and are paved with flagstones. Each scenic zone is interconnected, allowing smooth access between attractions and achieving a harmonious blend between humans and nature.
