A Top-Notch Forest Park

The A Top-Notch Forest Park scenic area is located in Wuling Township, Datian County. Its main peak, A Top-Notch, stands at an elevation of 1,413.7 meters, and the park covers an area of 1,000 hectares. The scenic area is divided into: the Visitor Service Center, Qixian Pavilion Scenic Area, Dakexi Scenic Area, Shiba Tan Scenic Area, Ecological Agriculture Sightseeing Garden, and Four Seasons Garden Scenic Area. The A Top-Notch Forest Park scenic area features overlapping mountain ranges, vast green landscapes, majestic peaks, towering stone formations, crisscrossing valleys and ridges, murmuring streams, fragrant wild fruits, and lush bamboo groves, all complementing each other beautifully. Preliminary surveys have identified a total of 62 scenic resources, including 11 natural life scenes, 36 water scenes, 10 landform scenes, 2 cultural landscapes, and 4 borrowed views. For example, the Qixian Pavilion Scenic Area offers a paradise on earth, a forest oxygen bar, and a habitat for the Chinese giant salamander. The winding Dakexi Scenic Area stream has nine bends, earning it the nickname "Little Nine-Bend." The Shiba Tan Scenic Area stretches 4.6 km and is abundant in waterfalls and pools, featuring 14 waterfalls and 20 pools. The diverse streams, springs, waterfalls, pools, lakes, and uniquely shaped peaks and rocks each present their own distinctive charm. Verdant mountains and crystal-clear waters blend seamlessly, creating a series of enchanting mountain and water views. It’s often praised with the saying, “Facing the green mountains, no painting is needed; with springs as sweet as music, no playing is required.” The park’s unique landscape makes it a comprehensive eco-tourism destination that combines summer retreats, adventure and entertainment, fitness and wellness, science education, and photography and sketching.
