Guangping Wenchang Pavilion

Guangping Wenchang Pavilion is a Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Site.

Guangping Wenchang Pavilion, located within Guangping Middle School in Guangping Town, Datian County, Fujian Province, is a provincial-level cultural heritage site. It is classified as an ancient architectural structure and was included in the seventh batch of Fujian Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites, officially announced on November 16, 2009¹.

The historical period of Guangping Wenchang Pavilion dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Guangping Town: Located in the northern part of Datian County, Guangping Town borders Huyuan Township of Sha County to the north, Qitao Town to the east, Jianshe Town to the south, Huinan Township of Yong'an to the southwest, Zhongcun Township of Sanyuan District to the northwest, and Baziqiao of Youxi to the northeast. It is often referred to as the “Northern Gateway” of Datian County. The town covers a total area of 182.9 square kilometers, with 20,077 mu of arable land, including 19,110 mu of paddy fields, 179,000 mu of forested land, and 129,700 mu of timber forest. It administers 14 administrative villages (Guangping, Wufeng, Wanchou, Wanzhai, Xingpu, Yuansha, Suqiao, Jiatao, Mingxi, Dongren, Dongjing, Xiyuan, Fengzhuang…).
