Shen Yuan Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Era: Qing Dynasty

Location: Guangping Village, Guangping Town, Datian County

Introduction: Originally constructed in the first year of the Xianfeng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1851) and renovated in the 32nd year of the Guangxu reign (1906). The architecture is large in scale and well-preserved in layout, comprising a front and rear hall, two straight and two wing rooms on each side, along with a front pond and a rear enclosed ridge, covering a total area of 3,582 square meters. The interior and exterior decorations are diverse, featuring exquisite wood carving, stone carving, plaster sculpture, and painted artwork.

Protected area: 20 meters outward from all sides of the building.

In 2009, Shen Yuan Hall was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Guangping Village: Guangping Village [ɡuǎnɡpínɡcūn]

A village under the jurisdiction of Guangping Town, located 1 kilometer south of the town government and at the center of the town. It borders Xia Village to the east, faces Shanghe Village to the south, adjoins Heping Mountain and Wulong villages to the west, and neighbors Hekou Village to the north. The village covers an area of 5.83 square kilometers and includes nine natural villages: Bianzi, Shatou, Fuyao, Gulei, Gulong, Guangping, Malu, Guli, and Rongpo, with 20 villager groups.
