Sacred Spring Rock

Sacred Spring Rock is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Sacred Spring Rock is located in Yangchun Village, Wushan Township, Datian County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as Sacred Spring Temple or Gourd Rock, the existing structures were built in the 43rd year of the Kangxi reign (1684). It faces south and covers a construction area of 146.84 square meters. The overall layout is a single-courtyard temple building, with the main hall featuring three bays in width and eight pillars in depth, supported by a post-and-lintel wooden frame, with a flush-gable roof. Inside, there are shrines primarily dedicated to deities such as "Ancestral Master Chen Gong."

Protected area: Extending 20 meters outward from the edge of the platform on all sides.

In 2018, Sacred Spring Rock was designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial Cultural Heritage Sites by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
