The former residence of Ye Yanhuang — Lianfang Hall is a Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism attraction.

The former residence of Ye Yanhuang — Lianfang Hall is located in Jinkou Village, Huaxing Township, Datian County, dating from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era.

Description: Originally built during the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1796–1820), it faces south with a north orientation, is constructed of earth and wood, features a hanging gable roof, and covers a land area of 684 square meters with a building area of 500 square meters. From north to south, it includes the entrance courtyard, inner rain courtyard, lower hall, central courtyard, main hall, and side wing rooms. Ye Yanhuang was born in Lianfang Hall in November 1909, and his family moved to Xiamen in 1919. In 1927, he joined the Communist Party of China and served as the secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, playing a key role in the municipal party office. In early 1929, appointed by the Xiamen District Committee of the CPC, Ye returned to his hometown to carry out party-building work. He quickly recruited three members and established the Datian Special Branch of the CPC. In August 1934, when the Xiamen Central Municipal Committee’s offices were raided by the Kuomintang, Ye was arrested due to his exposed identity and was executed by the Kuomintang at the Fuzhou Security Bureau in October of the same year, at the age of only 26.

Protected area: 20 meters east of the wall, 20 meters south of the wall, 20 meters west of the wall, and 10 meters north of the wall.

In 2018, the former residence of Ye Yanhuang — Lianfang Hall was designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Fujian Provincial People's Government.
