The Site of the First Branch of the CPC in Datian County is located in Jinkou Village, Huaxing Township, Datian County, dating back to 1929.

Description: Originally the Ye Family Ancestral Hall, also known as Nanyang Hall, it was first built during the Ming Dynasty. The structure faces south and is built with brick and wood, featuring a flush gable roof. It consists of an entrance courtyard, low surrounding walls, a rain courtyard, a central skywell, a main hall, and side wing rooms, covering a land area of 469.17 square meters and a building area of 356.59 square meters. In early 1929, Ye Yanhuang was dispatched by the Xiamen Municipal Committee to return to his hometown to carry out party work and establish the Datian Special Branch of the CPC. Nanyang Hall was one of the main activity sites of the First Branch of the CPC in Datian County. The Datian Special Branch held several important meetings here, planning struggles such as overthrowing local tyrants and redistributing land, reducing rents and interest rates, and abolishing the Tuntian system. It holds an important place in the history of Datian’s revolutionary struggle, bearing witness to the moving and heroic efforts of the people of Datian in modern history. It is considered the “cradle” of the Communist Party in Datian and a historical landmark of the county’s revolution. It has epoch-making significance in the history of Datian’s armed revolutionary struggle.

Protective boundary: The outer walls of the building are extended 20 meters outward on all sides.

In 2018, the Site of the First Branch of the CPC in Datian County was announced by the People’s Government of Fujian Province as part of the ninth batch of provincial-level cultural relics protection units.
