In 2013, the ancestral hall of the Zheng family in Dongkeng was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in the eighth batch by the People's Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: an extension of 10 meters outward from all sides of the ancestral hall.

Dongkeng Village: Located in the northeastern part of the county seat, Dongkeng Village borders Xusikeng to the east, adjoins Jinshan to the west, neighbors Jiancheng Village to the south, and lies adjacent to Xiapingshadi Village to the north. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Dongkeng Village belonged to the Thirty-Second District. In February 1950, after the establishment of the county people's government, Dongkeng and Banshan were collectively known as Dongshan Township, under the jurisdiction of the First District.
